It is 2024!

I thought I would send this out on Jan 1/24 instead of before since there is a lot of emails going out at the end of the year!

I hope that what ever you did over the holiday season was enjoyable for you!

I started this newsletter thinking it could take over from the blog but I realized I like doing blog posts so I did not stop posting on MarilynDishes.com (You can follow the blog and have emails from me with new or re-visited recipes more often then this newsletter comes out! )

Personally for me, 2023 was a pretty good year. The blog is doing great! My family is good! I ate really well too, I have not posted as many blog posts as in previous years or many newsletters so if I will make one ‘resolution’ it will be to get busier on the computer and let you all know what is happening in my kitchen!

1. TikTok Crinkle Cake. I know why it is so popular!! The recipe is easy & the dish is delicious!

   

2. TikTok Pillsbury Cinnamon Buns Easy and delicious.. one tip these really need the icing to bring it all together

   

3. Kraft No-Bake Cool Whip Cheesecake This cheesecake is smooth & delicious

   

4. Oven Roasted Pickled Brisket This Pickled Brisket is slow baked in the oven and topped with a sweet glaze. it is truly delicious

   

5. Blue Crinkle Cookies. I love that this recipe was one of the top 10! They are so pretty and really good. Of course you can colour the cookie dough any colour you want!

   

6. Matzo Baklava I know usually Baklava is made with phyllo dough and it is delicious but… this recipe uses matzo instead of the phyllo. Perfect for Passover but all of you can make this recipe! Matzo is available in so many stores, you can just buy a box and use it for this recipe. If you have any left-over matzo eat it with some butter… or peanut butter.. you will love it! Just like a flat bread…so good

   

7. Vegetarian Kishke. What you wonder is Kishke? It is a bread crumb stuffing that traditionally is made in a meat casing but…this one is not. The mixture is baked in a log wrapped in foil. It is fantastic with some pan juices poured over it or just alone as a side dish ( or lunch! I love it so much )

8. Martha Stewarts Chocolate Chip Cookies. I can not take credit for this recipe but I can for sharing it with you ! Perfect every time my family loves this recipe

9. Corn Muffins This recipe for Corn Muffins is iconic. The recipe is from the bag the cornmeal comes in! There are sweet, kind of gritty which I love. My fav way to eat these are split with some butter and strawberry jam on them

   

10. Chocolate Mousse Matzo Cake. If you buy a box of matzo for the Baklava you can use some of it for this cake! Perfect for Passover but again everyone will LOVE this cake!
